7th March 2012 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: WNW Wind Stength: 15-30 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 8ºC Sea Temperature: 8ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: A bit of a frustrating session to start with. Got to the beach, rigged my 5.6m sail and had half a run out to sea when the wind dropped leaving me no choice but to swim back to shore. Back onshore I made a few adjustments as Tom and Sam arrived and the wind picked back up again. Went back out but now I was totally overpowered so came back in and rigged my 5m. The 5m was OK for an hour or so, but there were still some big lulls so I never felt completely comfortable as I didn't fancy another long swim. The wind then felt as though it was easing again so I decided that I'd had a decent sail with the 5m so best not chance my luck. Not bad, but not great either. |
